Annie Morgan “What I want to express, in both figure and landscape, isn’t anything sentimental or melancholy, but deep anguish. In short, I want to get to the point where people say of my work: that man feels deeply, that man feels keenly.” - Van Gogh

Alec is one of the most talented songwriters I’ve ever heard, for anyone who has had the pleasure of hearing what he has to say through song. Army Green is his best work he has released so far - pretty impossible to pick a favorite track. Favorite track: Candy Cane.

Vince Paska Alec is a fantastic musician. We've been friends for 10 years and I never cease to be amazed at how he continues to progress his songwriting. Worth the purchase and would recommend picking up a physical copy aklsnfklAfhAhfntjkaejkln Favorite track: Danny.

Danny 04:42
Danny was a drinking man lived with a bottle in his hand but at the end of the day he was my best friend and so the story goes.. i moved away when i turned thirteen took a train down to Tennessee had some fun and wrote a song for him and this is how it goes oh Danny, the people in the city are so cold to be it honestly gets the best of me I met you back in '99 our teacher said you were out of line but I didn't care you were just my kind on summer nights behind your house when you kissed me on the mouth you said you were dead if your dad found out well did you let him know? oh Danny, the people in the city are so cold to be it honestly gets the best of me sometimes when it's quiet now I can see the mushroom clouds over your grey shed and your big red house some things you win and some you lose and everything comes back to you oh Danny boy I heard the news why did you have to go? oh Danny, the people in the city are so cold to be it honestly gets the best of me

True Friend 03:07
you don't ever want me to be somebody that isn't me you don't ever want me to say things that i'd never say i will stay with you while you sleep and try to return all of the good things you do for me you don't ever fight or complain or yell when our plans rearrange or care what the majorities say then pretend to for social gain i will stay with you while you cry and we will conquer the world when you feel strong enough to try i will stay with you when you're sick cuz you're my friend babe thats pretty much the extent of it
3.
Dreams 02:29
I had dreams to share with you oh my why did i think that i could try to disguise my heart now is old and tired I had plans for you to come and stay with me but i was a fool cuz i was afraid and i let it take me hold

Candy Cane 03:38
Candy Cane went a walkin' and she said, oh surely I am not from the city all the lights are blinding, street names confusing and the sounds from all the people is giving me a headache must be bad luck Candy Cane went a walkin' and she said, oh surely I am not from the Kazakhs I tried on all the headgear, and sold meat at the markets but it seems I'm not accepted to their survival must be bad luck Candy Cane went a walkin' and she said, oh surely I am not from Navajo I drank all their alcohol, to translate my motives but it seems they weren't expecting my arrival must be bad luck Candy Cane went a walkin' and she said, oh surely I am not from the city all the lights are blinding, people confusing and it seems as if I'm heading down my own spiral

you felt sure as you board the flight horizontally toward the light when it finally faded out you were headed towards a real life where uncertainty is your friend in your new found confidence the only thing that stops you now is the images in your head but I’m so tired of having things to say that never mattered anyway but knowing that the walls fall down I could never be the same now a precious gem is a human life to anybody who’s seen the light but when the darkness creeps on back it was like it was there the whole time the transmission is coming clear you’ve no idea what you’re doing here baby you’d make sense of the signs parallel from the other side but I’m so tired of having things to say that never mattered anyway knowing that the walls fall down I could never be the same now

don't you think that we're living a little bit in the past when everything gets too fast we need our time to relax and i have to scream to get you to hear me but the sound will never last so i'll start living in the past maybe we could all live in a perfect sphere in the past pretend that no one gets sad or deals with being harassed and we could pretend like it's so much better but press your ear against the glass to hear the crying of the past don't you think that we're living a little bit in the past when everything gets too fast we need our time to relax together we'll scream and no one will hear us we'll pick a new place on the map and then start living in the past
